"They have an amazing selection. The produce section has some hard to find stuff. It seems even larger on the inside! Helpful staff."

"I stop by this place for the first time because I did a search on salad bars in the area and it look like this is the only joint that I had one. I found the price to be very very fair at 799 a pound. Given the cost of spring mix, spinach, vegetables, and other items. I thought this was a very, very fair price - a hint do not ever add salad dressing to a salad bar. That is a heaviest item you can put on there. Keep the dressing at home or add a little refrigerator in your workspace. i'm surprised so many people complained about the price until I looked at the beef and everything else. They're charging an incredibly high mark up for local beef. I also understand that because the price they are charging is parallel to the price at Kroger charges for prime ribeye in New York strips. The difference is the food from this place comes from a farm down the road their prime steaks from Kroger probably come from Argentina."

Publix is as much a real estate company now as it is a grocery store, and it is debt free. That is the reason it isn't like some of the other negative examples discussed in this thread (Enron, GE, Giant, Kmart).
I am having a very small Thanksgiving gathering, and it seems like one of Publix’s prepared Thanksgiving meals would actually be less expensive (and way less effort) than cooking from scratch. I know it’ll never be as good as home cooked - but how good are they? Will I regret buying one?
The thing about Publix is that people hate the hypocrisy of a company that is worker owned and allegedly prides itself on being an amazing place to work as suddenly treating its workers like the expendable garbage they are, instead of valuing them. This is why so many long time Publix employees are quitting.

Publix's answer to every grievance about the lack of pay and benefits is 'but we give you stocks.' I fail to see how stocks is going to help your employees pay their rent that month. This is the first retailer I have ever worked for that doesn't give employee discount and they don't really offer that many programs for their associates.
