Payton has repeatedly said that Nix's mobility and his ability to avoid sacks are among the QB's strengths, and Payton doesn't want to coach it out of him. So the Broncos will continue to allow Nix to run as he sees fit.

Among Broncos quarterbacks, only John Elway and Peyton Manning have accounted for more fourth-quarter/overtime comebacks than Nix has in orange and blue.

Did anyone else notice Bo Nix smiling & even laughing on the sideline with under 2 minutes left in the 4th quarter of a tied game? Most guys are frustrated & tight as hell given the context & situation.

"He finds a way," wide receiver Courtland Sutton said of Nix. "He’s a gamer. The dude shows up. We know that when we have him back there, we have a chance to win the game."

For years, Payton would give his quarterbacks — from Drew Brees to Russell Wilson and now Bo Nix — elaborate playcalls. However, this season, the Denver Broncos head coach has shrunk the calls a bit in order to help Denver's offense play at a faster tempo.
