Día de los Muertos is a celebration of heritage and culture -- both of which were on full display Saturday in downtown Houston.

The Rockets (3-2) entered Saturday with a top-rated offense and below-average defense, but their win in Boston showed elite play on both ends.

Velvet Oak Tavern at 2221 West Alabama will host its annual Halloween Party with karaoke, costume and beer pong contests, and Dungeons and Dragons. There will also be a tattoo artist and drink specials, according to an Instagram post by the bar.

Carnes' body was discovered near Kirkpatrick Boulevard in northeast Houston after Union Pacific employees spotted what they believed was a brush fire and called 911 just after 10 p.m. on October 23. When firefighters extinguished the flames, they made the grim discovery of Carnes' body hanging from the underside of the freeway.
