Michigan State (3-5, 0-5 Big Ten) has lost five straight games and will be even more shorthanded when it plays at Minnesota (5-3, 3-2) on Saturday (3:30 p.m. ET, BTN). In addition to six players already ruled out for the season, the Spartans have 13 who are unavailable against the Golden Gophers, according to the pregame availability report.
Despite showing some fight, the Spartans fell 23-20 to the Golden Gophers in front of 45,339 fans at Huntington Bank Stadium in Minneapolis, Minnesota. The loss was MSU's sixth in a row, as the program has not won since taking down Youngstown State on Sept. 13.
