Typhoon Tino (international name Kalmaegi) has strengthened as it moves west toward the Visayas and northern Palawan, bringing heavy rains, storm-force winds, and the threat of life-threatening storm surges in several regions,

Pagasa said Tino was tracked some 340 kilometers east-southeast of Guiuan, Eastern Samar, with maximum sustained winds of 120 kilometers per hour (kph) and gusts of up to 150 kph while moving west-southwest at 25 kph.
