The Los Angeles Dodgers are considering a change to the starting lineup for World Series Game 3, potentially benching outfielder Andy Pages in favor of a new bat. Pages has only managed to get four hits in 43 at-bats this postseason, drawing no walks at the plate and striking out 11 times.
Only one previous World Series game — Game 3 in 2018 — has ever gone 18 innings (also won by the Dodgers). This time lasted six hours and 39 minutes, meaning it was nearly midnight in L.A. when it ended, so the teams will get about 17 hours to rest up before Game 4’s first pitch.
