An NBC News poll found that 52% of voters blame Trump and Republicans in Congress for the ongoing government shutdown, while 42% blame Democrats.

Around two-thirds of Americans disapprove of the demolition of the East Wing for President Donald Trump’s planned ballroom, a new poll revealed. According to a Yahoo/YouGov poll, 61% of Americans disapprove of the concept of a ballroom, which is set to stretch 90,000 square feet. Only 25% approve of the idea as part of the White House complex.

Americans are increasingly voicing concern about the shutdown's impact on the U.S. economy, as a big majority feel Congress isn't even working to try to end it. There's also increased worry from people over being personally affected, particularly among those with lower incomes, along with that concern about national impact.
