The provincial government of Southern Leyte, through the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (PDRRMC), has provided assistance and support to Silago, the town in Eastern Visayas where Typhoon Tino (international name: Kalmaegi) made its landfall at 12 a.
At least seven people were killed and over 100,000 resident displaced in floods and other accidents caused by Typhoon Kalmaegi in the Philippines, local officials said.
Typhoon Tino (international name Kalmaegi) has maintained its strength after making landfall over Silago, Southern Leyte at 12 a.m. on Tuesday, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said.
